Happy Birthday Rebekah

Rebekah is 5 years old today. I thought it would be a good day to post pictures of her birthday party we had last Saturday. We all had such a great time.

My princess all dressed and ready for her big day. Watching tv, of course, so mom can finish getting things ready.
And what do my little eyes see?!!! Only the prettiest cake every made.
It was huge!!! And so beautiful!!!How many Blake brothers does it take to put up a flower pinata??? Actually, pinatas are a bit tricky to get up, especially since they make them so cheap these days and plastic strap thing keeps pulling out.
Oh ya, don't forget to hit the ground twice every time you get ready to bat... even if you are about to hit a pinata.
My sister Angel, here with her boyfriend but here to play with Rebekah. My siblings are very selfless, they always take as much time out of their lives to be with my kids. They visit me to give to my children and that to me is the greatest gift you could give me.

Rebekah kept asking when can we open presents so when I told her after everyone was done with their cake she ran over and sat by the table of presents to wait.

Rebekah loved to "read" the cards. Usually sounded like babble and then she would announce who I said it was from.

Mavericks

Rebekah was so patient and so much fun.
What a cutie. This was an awesome day. We came to the stadium at 10am for what is called a "clinic" where the Maverick players practice for two and a half hours with the kids. Then we went to have lunch which we bar-b-qued in the back of our coaches pick-up. Then at 3pm the Mavericks played and won. Joseph sat with a talent scout for a little while who was timing pitches and even threw peanuts into the announcer box. haha It was such a great day. The Mavericks are a lower team that recruits from colleges and such and Jon tells me that the really good ones will go on to be Angels. Joseph even got a small souvenir bat that he got most of the players to sign for him . Thanks so much to Butch and Laura (Joseph's coaches) for making this day possible.

Rebekah at Marysa's Birthday Tea Party

We had such a great time at Rebekah's cousin's house. Marysa wanted a tea party for her birthday and it was girls only so Rebekah and I went.
They got to choose lovely hats and get the flowers they wanted hotglued on them.
Hair was done by Auntie Carole, make-up done by her cousin April, hats were done by her cousin Brittney, and necklaces were done by her cousin Stephanie. What a fun day of primping for the girls.
Auntie Marylee (Marysa's mom) bought all the girls their own little animal and tea cup. It was great fun and I know the girls loved it.
Rebekah (on the far left) wanted to wear her Snow White dress and was so poised the whole day. So cute!!! Marysa is in the center of the sofa.

Rebekah's First Haircut and Joseph's First Little League Team

Auntie Carole does our hair and Saturday was Rebekah's first haircut. It was about time. I love her hair long but she needed some dry ends cut.
Rebekah did such a good job at doing everything she was suppose to do. Maybe because she has seen Joseph do it so many times.
I actually think that she really loved this part. lol Such a beautiful princess.And Carole finished it off with two beautiful french braids.
This is Joseph's first Little League coach. Here she is helping him bat. She told me today that he bats better left handed. I kind of knew that since that is how he batted all last season of T-ball.
He really loves baseball. Although he has been hurt twice now. Once the ball hit his arm and another time hit next to his eye. But it is making him pay better attention.

Here he is with some of his teammates. His team is the Orioles. They should be getting their uniforms soon. I need to get him some black pants and orange socks. Opening day is March 14th.
Also, I wanted to include this picture. We went to another Karate tournament two Sunday's ago. I knew that it would be a rough one when I saw a particular Karate school come in. Their entire school was pretty much there and they are all really, really good. Their was 6 of them in Joseph's division (9 total in his division). He got the medal for participation in his Open Hand Kata and he also used the numchucks for a weapons Kata. But the trophy he got for second place in sparring. We were sooooo proud. And he sparred first so he had to spar 4 times (unlike the 1st place winner who only spared twice). It is an odd way of doing things but we were so happy anyway. This was the first time he competed in sparring.
